BIG TIME Ready For The BIG GIG-SUMMERFEST!

HOW DOES A LOCAL BAND PERFORM AT SUMMERFEST?

Regional artists BIG TIME as Leinenkugel's Live Music Challenge Champions are ready to appear at Summerfest Friday, June 30. The Leinenkugel's Live Music Challenge sponsored by Leinenkugel's, WIXX, The Green Bay Bombers, and Gallagher's was an event that featured some of the areas top musical talent. "We had the privilege of competing against several great local bands like FALLOUT, SIMPLE MACHINE, and CLEARER," says Aaron Vorass the lead singer of BIG TIME, "We're very proud that the main judging criteria of the event was original music." "It's been an amazing past 6 months," says bassist Nathan Pleshek, "We're performing at Summerfest, we also have several of our songs being considered for recording by Garth Brooks, Hootie & The Blowfish, and Faith Hill."

HOW DOES A LOCAL BAND PRESENT SONGS TO GARTH BROOKS?

"Actually, we met Garth in Nashville," says guitarist James Pleshek, "After talking with Garth, we have a lot more respect for him as an artist and as a person. When Garth asked us to send him songs for future recording projects we were blown away! Especially since we play modern rock, not country! A Publisher from a Major Record Label in Nashville also heard one of the songs and asked us if he could play it for Darius from Hootie & The Blowfish. This is a businesses where anything can happen. We're just humbled and happy that people believe our work has serious commercial potential."
